Around two billion euros is to be invested into Germany nation wide, with the aim to improve the quality of teaching. The program has been initiated and funded by the Federal Ministry for education and research (BMBF) as part of the teaching quality pact, which is jointly run by the federal government and states. Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences has been chosen to help promote this program and will start implementing project "DegTrepE" at the end of 2016.

The actions taken today, will help aid the future quality of teaching and learning for students. The process will take place during their studies, so that students can gain professional qualifications and maturity step by step - walking up the Deggendorf steps to success.

Not only lessons will be focused on, but also study, which is why we are working together with both students and staff to achieve the following targets:

  • Better study conditions
  • Better quality in teaching
  • Innovative learning and teaching methods
  • Focus on the learner
  • Individualised support and advice
  • Improvement of basic education
